Honda presented a series of new technologies during
CES 2017, and the most interesting one is the ‘Riding Assist’
technology that can be helpful for motorbike drivers when
reversing, it self-balances and can follow the owner in low
speeds itself, which will be beneficial for drivers.
In 2016, KYMCO published the innovation ‘Noodoe’ at
EICMA Motorcycle Show 2016, officially announced the new
era of ‘smart’ MAXI SCOOTER. The production is scheduled
to start in H1 2017. There will be test-drive of this revolutionary
invention opened to the public as a new experience for the
era of smart lifestyle. Scootering is more than just a kind of
transportation, it is about the experience of journeys. Every
little detail on the way can be connected through Noodoe’s
functions.
The results of International Warsaw Invention Show 2016
were unveiled, the reversible scooter seat with a second
storage invented by Kao Yuan University has won both gold
and special awards. The second storage will be on top of
the seat after reversing which empties the under seat storage
and provides more space for drivers. What’s more, the seat won’t be over heated being under the sun. This makes
it much easier and more comfortable for drivers.
A video published by a Russian drone manufacturer, filming its developed flying motorcycle. It can fly up and
around simply by charging the batteries. This brings to a whole new concept of extreme sport equipment in the future.
With all of the examples above, we can tell that riding/ driving isn’t just a way of commuting anymore. It could
be smart, entertaining and even adventurous! Future motorbikes are with great potentials, either to be a simple kind
of transportation or to be full of technologies. Creating more user-friendly products is a big breakthrough for the
motorcycle industry.
