Braided Nylon sutures are inert, nonabsorbable, sterile sutures composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. They are coated uniformly with silicone to enhance handing characteristics, ease of passage through tissue and reduction of capillarity. They have some benefits as below, a tight braid with a uniform diameter, maximum flexibility of the strand and excellent and consistent knotting strength.
