Innovation Takes Center Stage This year’s exhibition introduced a new focus on innovation, invigorating the event with fresh energy. A key highlight was the "Bike Venture" initiative, a collaboration between TAIPEI CYCLE and Anchor Asia (Anchor Taiwan). Combining Taiwan’s robust cycling industry heritage with advanced technological capabilities, the program featured exhibitions, forums, and startup showcases, fostering an innovation ecosystem for the cycling industry with Taiwan as its hub. The innovation zone showcased 10 startups from 8 countries, selected from a global call for entries. These exhibits drew significant attention, particularly the UK-based Skarper, which demonstrated its one-click e-bike conversion system. This innovation gained widespread popularity among attendees. The accompanying innovation forum attracted over 30% of its registrations from international investors and high-level executives from the tech industry, underscoring strong interest in cross-industry collaboration. Diverse and Sustainable Exhibition Content TAIPEI CYCLE 2024 offered a wide array of enriching content. Notably, Norwegian company reTyre, exhibiting for the first time, displayed recyclable tires that align with sustainability trends. reTyre reported great success, receiving inquiries from international visitors and committing to participate again next year. Similarly, Japan’s National Cycle Route pavilion promoted its national cycling travel routes, generating enthusiastic responses and plans for expanded participation in 2025, promising a wider range of cycling tourism options. The debut of the E-cycling Pavilion, featuring interactive displays, hands-on experiences, and engaging lectures, became a crowd-puller. This pavilion effectively facilitated cross-domain exchanges among virtual cycling ecosystem players, paving the way for enhanced online and offline collaboration in the coming years.
