Growtech welcomed professionals all over the world by increasing the number of countries from 120 (from the previous year) to 125 different countries this year. There is a remarkable increase in the visitors from Lebanon, Kazakhstan this year and they took place in the top 10 countries. There is a 16% increase in the visitors coming from North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. The number of visitors increased by 26% compared to the number of visitors in the last edition organized be- fore the pandemic. Growtech is Now The Meeting Point of Global Agricultural Sector Referring to the major contributions of the Growtech exhibition to the agricultural sector, Growtech Exhibition Director Engin Er said: “Growtech is now the meeting point of global agricultural sector. Our companies can access their target markets via Growtech. Buyers all around the world can find varied range of products and solutions at Growtech and thus can develop their busi- nesses. This year, visitors came mostly from Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. Besides, 19 buyer compa- nies from 7 countries participated in the Hosted Buyer Program organized by the West Mediterranean Exporters Association (BA İ B) within the context of Growtech. The Netherlands, Spain, and Hungary exhibited their latest products and technologies in their country pavilions. Apart from the exhibitors and visitors, international agri- culture journalists showed a great interest to Growtech. 23 agricultural journalists from 16 countries participated in Growtech to closely monitor the global agricultural sector and hold private meetings.” How is Growtech Sustainable? We know sustainability is increasingly important to our attendees and exhibitors, as well as to our market as a whole. Running Growtech gives us lots of opportunities to improve our impacts socially, environmentally and eco- nomically in our host city. We want to make our event more responsible and play a role in helping our markets improve its own sustainability through connecting people with the networks and knowledge they want to help solve the big challenges in our sector. Inspiring Sustainable Development : Growtech supports innovative activities that increase the added value of agricultural production. Growtech organizes and hosts ATSO- Growtech Innovation Awards to encourage innovative professionals and companies that carry out R&D activities. Running a Social Responsible Event : Growtech supports the Solidarity Association for Physically Disabled and contribute to the education and health needs of all or- thopedically disabled citizens within their organisation. Running an Environmentally Responsible Event : Decreasing the number of printed materials, recycle the badges and the exhibition carpets, save electricity by us- ing LED technology. w w w .
